This Day in History March 24 : First International Women's Sports Event
On March 24 1921 Monte Carlo hosted the Women's Olympiad which was the first ever International Women's Sporting Events. 
The event was created by a group of women in response to the IOC announcing that women could not compete at the 1924 Olympics .
100 Women from 5 county's participated .
The women competed in 10 events.
