Ragnarok, War of Deaths of the Gods Inspired by Norwegian Mythology. Thor fans Need to Know Here!
Thor's latest movie Thor: Ragnarok is taken from the mythological war. The mythological war is called Ragnarok which means the calamity of the gods. Ragnarok is predicting that the three Loki children will lead the troops to overthrow Odin's power. Ragnarok himself is divided into various parts of the story, where the most important in mythology, Ragnarok caught the three children Loki to the war that caused the death of Odin and other gods. From the movie Thor: Ragnarok, two of Loki's children appear as antagonists. Let's take a look at all the antagonist characters, the boy from Loki, from the Ragnarok war.
Fenrir, the wolf
Fenrir, the first child of Loki, is a very strongly born wolf. In Ragnarok's mythology, Fenrir is predicted to kill Odin. Concerned by such predictions, the gods created various ways to bind Fenrir. However, since Fenrir's power of all bonds could not be bound and destroyed by him, the gods created Gleipnir an indestructible chain to bind Fenrir. Fenrir sensed the evil intentions of the gods and refused unless Tyr placed his hand in Fenrir's mouth.
Tyr sacrificed his hands and tied Fenrir with Gleipnir, then Fenrir bit Tyr's hand. However, at the time of Ragnarok, Gleipnir was released by the earthquake, and the darkness of night. When Ragnarok, Fenrir kills Odin by swallowing him round. However, Fenrir was killed by Vidar, one of Odin's sons.
Jormungandr, the snake
Jormungandr, the second child of Loki, is a serpent born to continue growing until he can bite his own tail. In Ragnarok's mythology, fearing forecasts that Jormungandr would kill the gods, he was thrown into the ocean, where he grew up. He kept growing until he was able to bite his own tail, until Ragnarok arrived.
At the time of Ragnarok, Jormungandr fought against Thor, one of Odin's sons. Jormungandr came out of the ocean and poisoned the heavens. However, Thor manages to kill him before stepping nine steps before he is killed poisoned by Jormungandr.
Hel, the ruler of hell
Hel, the youngest son of Loki, is a goddess who has a terrible appearance. He was ostracized and shunned by the gods, so Odin gave Hel one of the layers of hell named after him. However, it was no more than camouflage because Hel was one of Ragnarok's causes in the prophecy. As Ragnarok, Hel leads his troops, dead souls and leads them to bring down Odin.
However, how Hel died was not so explained in mythology. Hel himself appeared in the movie Thor: Ragnarok, where he was named Hela, and he led a troop of dead fighters and Fenris who inspired Fenrir, Hel's brother.
That's the three Loki children who led the rebels against Odin, Ragnarok. Quite different from the one in the Thor movie: Ragnarok, right?
