I wish Nigeria success with becoming self-reliant - I wish that for all countries to be honest. It certainly seems that Nigeria, unlike many of the others, has everything it could need. You are right - it does not make sense that they produce the crude, ship it out of the country, and then pay to get it back in usable form.
