It’s great to see a young man with such a keen interest in history. I can tell by your video that you really know your stuff. Another factor in Kennedy’s decision for a naval blockade and not an invasion is that he tried to invade Cuba earlier and it ended in an embarrassing fiasco. This was called the Bay of Pigs invasion. Kennedy learned from this error to be more cautious with Cuba in the future, and his lesson learned from that was a decisive factor in his remarkable patience and restraint during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
