in #history7 years ago

Hi again Steemit community!! Today I decided to write about one of the most awesome monuments ever.
It is ''Meteora'' and it is located in Kalabaka, a town in the Central Greece. I have visited this place many times but I like to go there again and again.
''Meteora'' means a formation of huge rocks with old monasteries built on them. ''Meteora'' contitute not only a pole of attraction for visitors from all over the world but simultaneously is included on the Unesco World Heritage List (Unesco= United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization).
As I refered to above, each year more and more people visit ''Meteora'' from every corner of the world. There, people have ths opportunity to visit the 7 monasteries with the unique beauty and learn how monks live there, their way of life and their habits.

It's a beautiful place which I inted to visit this or next year. It's amazing hoew and where they have built those monesteries and how it served them from protection outside. Also that they didnt change "ropes" so that they would brake - they would buy a new one. Much history there, thanks for sharing.
