Sejarah Obat Nyamuk Bakar
Dengan bentuk yang spiral, obat nyamuk bakar masih sangat eksis pada masyarakat Indonesia. Selain bentuk unik, obat nyamuk bakar juga tergolong ekonomis, harganya juga sangat terjangkau.
Bentuk spiral memang tidak sama sekali mengalami perubahan sejak pertama kali diluncurkan awal 1902. Obat nyamuk bakar dulunya terbuat dari bahan Pyrethrum, semacam bubuk hasil dari pengeringan Bunga Chrysanthenum. Saat ini digantikan oleh serbuk Pyrethoid, yaitu serbuk sintesis atau tiruan dari serbuk Pyrethrum.
Penggunaan Pyrethrum sebagai pengusir serangga sudah sangat terkenal dejak 400SM lalu di negara Persia.
Bentuk produk batangan baru dikembangkan tahun 1890-an, oleh pengusaha ternama dari Jepang, Eiichiro Ueyama.
