May 9th — The Victory Day
May 9th is a special day for the Russian people. For the last 73 years it is a most important remembrance holiday, and mark of the victory over Nazi Germany in a Great Patriotic War. Unfortunately, NATO WestWorld rulers today will not allow to its peoples anything to be learned about this part of history…
Today, the whole story of how the Red Army saved Europe from the Nazis is being wiped from Western history books. Not only that, but Russian soldiers are intentionally and increasingly being portrayed as oppressors and occupiers rather than saviours. That kind of rewriting history allowed a professional liar, Barack Hussein Obama, to state in his speech on May 26, 2008:
Yeah, right. Red Army liberated Auschwitz. The first man who entered the death camp was a Soviet Major Anatoly Shapiro, who was in command of the unit that liberated prisoners there, and his first words were: “The Red Army came to set you free.”
Today, you would never hear Polish guides mention that Russians liberated Auschwitz. Instead, you would be told that World War II was started by Stalin, jointly with Hitler, which is a notorious lie.
The whole war was about the Barbarossa operation — Drang nach Osten — Hitler's attempt to conquer Soviet Union and destroy Russians, leaving that way “living space” (Ger. Lebensraum) for the German “exceptional Aryan nation” (can you remember any other “exceptional nation” today?). Europe was seized and all its sources were direced towards the Eastern front. The only European countries that were subjected to a large German military operations were UK and Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Four out of five German soldiers died on the Eastern front!
In May 2005, “The Economist” brought a piece on the uses and abuses of history, which also has some historical inaccuracies, but at least have tried to turn attention to the problem of Western establishment's attempt to rewrite history. In the “NATO written history” you'll never find the true contribution of the Soviet Union to the victory over nazism, nor a simple fact that the famous D-Day invasion, which opened the second front in Europe, was only launched in June of 1944, after it was already clear the Red Army could achieve complete victory over the Nazis on its own.
More on history abuse in a post-war period you can hear in the CrossTalking with Mark Sleboda, Peter Kuznick, and Xavier Moreau.
