I had a lot of fun as a kid making super 8 films. It was cheap.
Super 8 was called Super to differentiate if from Standard 8, film that was 16mm wide and slit up the middle after processing. And in reality Super 8 ran for 3 mins 20 secs at 18fps, and live sound was recorded down the edge of it on magnetic stripe. Lo fi? Not when shot in a Nikon, Canon or Beaulieu.
