About Maharaja Girijanath Roy Bahadur.

He was the chief personality of Dinajpur district of that time, Maharaja Girijanath Roy Bahadur. He was born in 1862. He was the tenth successor of Dinajpur Rajbangsham. Under the court of wards as the adoptive son of Maharani Shyamohini Devi, he became the Maharaja of Dinajpur after King Tarkannath.
Until 1883, he had to wait for him to become an adult. In the meantime, Dinajpur's Rajyaphat was administered by Mother Shyamohini Devi.
