Sorry for your family's loss.
I can't even begin to imagine how it must feel to lose someone, and not receive closure for decades.

Maybe sometime in the future the mystery will be resolved.

I look forward to your analysis of the events that might have taken place.

Yeah... I can't really imagine either, as I wasn't personally affected in quite the same way as my uncle's siblings. I wasn't even born yet when this happened, but every few years it comes up and causes renewed interest and then frustration for all concerned. I would like to bring some closure to this episode before my mom and her siblings are all gone.... They are 77-90 years of age now. I'm working on the follow-up post right now.
