The United States Marine Corps War Memorial - aka: The Iwo Jima Memorial
The fam took a trip/vacation back in December of 2018 to Washington DC.
Virgnia has quite a few sights to behold and among them is the US Marine Corps War Memorial.
It's within walking or short driving distance from Arlington National Cemetary.
We had the honor of laying my wife's late grandmother to rest next to her husband at Arlington.
He walked the Death March. Before that, he kept his imprisoned fellows alive in spirit and health to the best of his ability.
He was one of the lucky ones who made it back alive. Grandma was his medic who nursed him back to health upon his return.
