The Chinese government declared war on sparrows, cockroaches and rats. They fought with them, as with competitors for food. During the struggle, millions of sparrows and other birds were destroyed. No one knew what kind of bird it was, most importantly, to kill.

Sort:

Than came the famine and millions of people died.
Because there was not enough birds to eat the insects so the insects destroyed the crops.

“Destroyed” as in, the people of China had a big bountiful feast. Right?

The dead sparrows were handed over to the state. And they got paid for it.

Very amazing and historical war of china

In the history of the world there was a lot of very amazing. We just do not remember.
