King Taejo ascended the throne at Suchang Palace. On the 12th of this month, King Gongyang became the priest of King Taejo, offering a drinking party and joining King Taejo. The number of chairmen was already increased, including Bae Geuk-ryum.
"Now that the king has lost his duty and the people have already left, I ask you to abolish it because you cannot be the host of Sajik and the people."
At last, it was decided that King Gongyang should be abolished in accordance with the royal edict. When the rest of the king, along with Jeong Hui-gye of Pyeong-ri, came to Sijwa Palace in Bukcheon-dong with the royal edict, King Gongyang was disobedient and said,
"I didn't want to be king, but many of my servants forced me to become king. How could I not disobey your servant's feelings, for I have no knowledge of fraud because of my lack of character?"
As he did, he soon cried and shed a few tears. When he finally passed down the throne and went to Wonju, the white crown was placed in the royal court in support of the national seal, and all political affairs were re-decided by the name of the king. On the 13th, Daebi proclaimed the edict and made Taejo Gamnokguk Temple. On the 16th, Bae Geuk-ryum and Jo Jun-jeon went to King Taejo's mansion with the national seal, and people filled the alleys of the village. When Min-gae, the great-great-grandfather, showed his face without rejoicing, and did not tilt his head or speak, and the rest of him struck his teeth and killed him, he said,
"You can't kill for loyalty."
I tried hard to dry my teeth. On the same day, the wives of the Jokchins met King Taejo and Gangbi and ate only rice in water. All of the wives were frightened and fled to the north gate. King Taejo closed the door and refused to let him in. By sunset, he was pushed into the house and placed the seal on the official residence. He was afraid of King Taejo and lost his position. When Lee Chun-woo was caught and barely came out of the bedroom, the white coffins lined up, bowing and drumming and shouting hurrah. King Taejo was very afraid and seemed to have no place to tolerate himself, so he recommended that he ascend to the throne with the utmost sincerity.
Taejo refused and said,
"There is no need for a thousand men to rise from ancient times. How dare I bear it when I am a man of no virtue?"
Finally, he did not respond. By this day, King Taejo was reluctant to stand at Suchang Palace, as it was more urgent to recommend that he take the throne without being escorted or withdrawn by the help of the god of the great tomb, Hallyang and Kiro. When the white coffins greeted him in a row from the side of the palace, King Taejo got off the horse and walked into the temple to ascend to the throne. He avoided the throne and stood inside the pillar to receive the tributes of various officials. "and he gave orders to officials above the Sixth Plenary Session to go up to the fore, and it was too early to say,
"How could I have thought that I would not always be able to fulfill my duties with a rather fearful thought even if I were Prime Minister? If I were only healthy, I could avoid it with Pilma, but now that I am ill and cannot use my hands and feet properly, you must join your heart and strength to assist those who have little virtue."
He did so. He ordered the great shrines of the central and local provinces of the Goryeo Dynasty to see the political affairs as they used to be, and finally returned to their mansions.
