About Propaganda and the Mainstream Media Today

This image is an actual propaganda poster used during the 1930's advocating Adolf Hitler. Every aspect of the poster was meant to uplift the opinion of Hitler in the eyes of the people, through the use of powerful and positive images.

Notice the rays of sunshine above his image with steams of light over his head. An eagle soaring high above him as if to insinuate that Hitler's power was divinely ordained. He holds the flag high as the soldiers behind him honor him with flags representing his Nazi leadership, along with arms held up in the air in a show of unity and support of his power.

This support was not in support of their nation, it was support of a cruel and wicked ideology. They were not holding German flags, they were holding Nazi flags, sort of like the communist flag we often see being waved during Antifa marches.

Hitler holds the flag up high with one hand, while the other hand is held in a fist, which is a symbol of power, as though he was somehow chosen to lead the people to victory. The expression on his face is one of stern determination. The image was meant to draw support for Hitler and the Nazi regime.

In contrast, (but also propaganda) anti-Semitic images were used to demonize Jewish people.

This particular poster was an advertisement for a 1940's derogatory movie called, "The Eternal Jew." and is just one of many examples of Nazi propaganda posters that were prevalent during that time.

What is Propaganda?

Information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.

The deliberate spreading of such information, rumors, etc.

The particular doctrines or principles propagated by an organization or movement.

The purpose and intent of propaganda involve tactics that are used to deliberately spread false reports in a manner that will reach large numbers of people, and cause dissimulation through sheer hypocrisy by use of fictitious means set forth to either gain support or to destroy opposing views. Even by means that completely destroy moral integrity.

More Recent use of Propaganda

Although I don't totally disagree with the opinion in the image used by the Russain government depicting Obama as the Devil, the image is clearly propaganda.

The opinions of many both in the U.S and around the world already leaned in that direction, but opinions, no matter how many, do not make a subject factual.

Russia seized upon this ideology by portraying this devilish image, and for whatever reason, people tend to think that if the government says it, it must be true.

One thing I found very interesting about this particular story is that the reporter avoided calling it "propaganda." Rather than the obvious, he stated that it was, "an anti-Obama movement," and an "anti-American trend." The report even avoided any mention of the obvious, that the image portrayed Obama as the Devil. A Russian man who opposed the use of such propaganda in an interview said, "The main goal was to distract the country from domestic issues." Which is actually something we see on a regular basis here in the United States. That alone based on the actual definition of propaganda where hypocrisy is involved, is in and of itself...propaganda.

Has anyone forgotten the silly and highly promoted Rachel Maddow show, where "Trump's taxes would be "exposed!?" The show turned out to be a joke and was nothing more than a distraction from more serious national and world issues.

Current Propaganda

A recent Harvard study of negative news reporting on the current POTUS shows that 93 percent of the news reports on President Trump over the summer months were negative.

The Washington Post acknowledged an earlier study that showed 80 percent of Stories involving President Trump, were negative. In an article titled: "Trump’s media coverage has been 4-to-1 negative — but that isn’t really the point," (It actually is the point!) Sly wording was incorporated into the article that insinuated that the media is more intelligent than the people.

Using propaganda through media bias, the reporter turned a negative story about bias reporting into a negative story about President Trump.

After going into a spout about Trump supporters screaming, "fake news," the writer of the article, Aaron Blake stated, " I also think members of the media need to be constantly aware that they overwhelmingly hail from the coasts, and are more formally educated and tend to lean leftward more than your average American voter."

In other words, those reporters are more intelligent than the American people, and he included that they "hail," from the coasts, (mainly areas that are Liberal,) and "tend to lean leftward," making them of superior intelligence.

I had to laugh when I read this. I don't think that the "highly educated reporters," realize that those who see what's going on know that the media thinks that the majority of Americans have no intellectual capacity and can't spot their nonsense and propaganda a mile away. Much of the news reported over the past year has demonstrated that the majority of the mainstream media uses pure arrogance in actually believing that people will agree with the nonsense being reported. Perhaps in their superior intellect, they might actually think that their bias is undetectable to the American people.

There is no shortage of propaganda today. It's used in every leftist media outlet, from Hollywood actors applying this at award ceremonies, talks show hosts use it, even with tears in their eyes, and Politicians regularly us these tactics to destroy their opponents. Propaganda is actually very easy to spot. Sadly, through the use of propaganda, these high-profile people often take something that is good or even terrible, (depending on the way they want to sway it,) and twist it around in the eyes of the masses, as was the case with Hitler's rule.

This isn't something that is unique to Germany. Every nation on earth has been exposed to similar propaganda. The Germans today take a lot of flack and because of this media and politically induced shame, their country is now being changed right before the eyes of the world.

I think that if the Mainstream media started to actually report unbiased facts, without the dishonest twists and turns, half the nation would be in complete shock, especially those who believe everything the news reports.
