Teuku Bujang Salim Monument (Bahasa)

His name is Teuku Bujang Salim or Teuku Rhi Bujang Seulamat. According to various sources he lived between the years 1891-1959. The birth son of Nisam Sub-district, Aceh Utara District, Aceh Province is one of the pioneers of Indonesia's independence movement.
Ampon Bujang is proficient in religion, politics and social.

At the time Indonesia was still in Dutch colony, he held office in government. The position is used to make efforts to defend the nation. Because of his efforts, he was several times given the punishment by the Dutch by being exiled to Eastern Indonesia; Papua and Meurauke, to the island of Java, even to Australia.
Despite his tough test, he continued to struggle and serve the people until his death in 1959.
He is buried in Krueng Geukuh, Dewantara behind a mosque, named Bujang Salim mosque.

*Ampon Bujang or Teungku Bujang is a cleric figure as well as a very generous hero and benefactor. Perhaps not many knew him. Even the appreciation of the State may also be less. But for the citizens of Nisam and Dewantara the service is still remembered until the end of time.

Tugu Bujang Salim
Namanya Teuku Bujang Salim. Menurut berbagai sumber beliau hidup antara tahun 1891-1959. Putra kelahiran Kecamatan Nisam Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Provinsi Aceh ini adalah salah satu tokoh perintis pergerakan kemerdekaan Indonesia.
Ampon Bujang mahir di bidang agama, politik dan sosial.
Pada saat Indonesia masih dalam jajahan Belanda, beliau memegang jabatan dalam pemerintahan. Kedudukan dimanfaatkan untuk melakukan upaya-upaya membela bangsa. Karena upayanya itu, beliau beberapa kali diberikan hukuman oleh Belanda dengan cara diasingkan ke Wilayah Indonesia Timur; Papua dan Meurauke, ke Pulau Jawa, bahkan ke Australia.
Meski mengalami ujian yang berat, beliau terus berjuang dan mengabdi kepada masyarakat sampai akhir hayatnya pada tahun 1959.
Beliau dimakamkan di Krueng Geukuh, di belakang sebuah Masjid yang dinamai masjid Bujang Salim.
Ampon Bujang atau Teungku Bujang adalah sosok ulama sekaligus pahlawan dan dermawan yang sangat berjasa. Barangkali tidak banyak yang mengenal beliau. Bahkan apresiasi dari Negara mungkin juga kurang. Tapi bagi warga Nisam dan Dewantara jasanya tetap terkenang sampai akhir zaman.
