Mount Everest

Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, stands at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) above sea level. Located in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, it attracts climbers from around the globe. The first successful ascent was achieved by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953. Climbing Everest poses significant challenges, including extreme weather, altitude sickness, and difficult terrain.
