When the Vinyl craze was going full tilt a few years ago I got my hands on one of those new Crosley turntables and picked up a bunch of classical albums at Salvation army.
The turntable was a freebie. My buddy didn't want it. And after a few minutes I could see why. The quality of those things is awful. They sell for over $100 and must cost under $5 to manufacture. They definitely do not make them like they used to.
Looks like you've got a nice set-up there. How old is that turn table? I think the golden age for these things must have been the late 70s or early 80s.
Haha, that is a real piece of hipster nostalgia gadget ( beaten though by this Sinclair Spectrum remake).
We bought it in the very early nineties.
I hope that ZX spectrum runs better than the cheap record players!
Sounds like your turntable has given you lots of great service, then. And I can see you've got some great classical music in the collection!
