THE UNVEILING OF HYPERSIGN; EXCERPT OF AN INTERVIEW WITH UTU.
Irfan Khan, founder of Hypermine is a professional cybersecurity expert with more than 10years of work experience in the identity management space.
He is the progenitor of Hypersign; a subsidiary of Hypermine.
In a recent interview, Mr. Khan gave UTU the highlights of the latest digital security technology: HYPERSIGN.
Hypersign is built to fix digital identity management issues that have come to exist out of a consistent demand for our personal information almost daily which in turn, poses a lot of identity problems, threats, and vulnerability to online users.
Who you are is what defines your identity. And, proving who we are to someone implies giving out our personal information. Thus, leaving our identity at risk.
According to Irfan, Hypersign aims to reduce dependency on government-issued identity but to make available other sorts of identity credentials, particularly in the social space. It will also maintain and integrate all online users' social identity credentials into a single unit thereby eliminating third-party interferences, access, and control.
In essence, Hypersign seeks to give consumers complete control over their personal information available online. It will work solely on a consent-based model and also eliminate the idea of data silos which are normally very vulnerable to cyber-attacks.
The whole concept of this decentralized Identity technology is based on public-key encryption and the incorporation of digital signatures that functions on blockchain technologies. The model will be useful in almost all sectors where personal data is vital; supply-chain management, health care, insurance, online payment, and finance, etc.
Irfan says that this innovative passwordless identity management infrastructure is more consumer-focused. It was birthed out of deep research on problems related to consumer identity and personal information and the need to solve these problems.
