Take time to really take care of ourselves
With the rapid pace of life today, it is easy for us to forget to take good care of ourselves - or at least find it difficult to find the time to do so. We fill our agendas with tasks to do and our minds of dreams, expectations and projects ... And along the way we are reducing the time to listen to us, to pamper ourselves, to love us and to take care of ourselves.
Until the body and / or mind say "here I am, listen to me already," and forces us to stop.
The problem is that many times we resort to the "solution" quick and easy to medicate us with what corresponds, without changing habits of our life and without even thinking about it. And this, more than a real solution is a way to get out of the way. Ideally, we should take time to take care of ourselves. To really stop to think about where it comes from and what we can do to minimize it, going to causes, to origins and looking for healthy solutions.
A time of intense stress, for example, can cause our body to warn us with headaches. The best solution is not to take analgesics and to continue with the current rhythm of life and with the same habits, but to consider what is hurting us and to look for alternatives to reduce the impact that generates us.
Yes it's hard. Yes, it's uncomfortable. Yes, it is slow. And yes, it requires sacrifice. But it's really the ideal way to treat ourselves. It's the right way to take care of ourselves.
And to realize what happens to us and see clearly the causes and consequences, it is necessary to have a quality time to dedicate ourselves. Space to listen to us and reflect on what we can do. And of course, much commitment and effort to implement the necessary changes. Nobody said it was easy…
Precisely, I have been dedicating myself more time, it has been a time of commitment with myself, of cares and of pampering, to improve my state of physical and mental health.
I still have a way ahead, but the new habits - with all their difficulties and discomforts - are bearing fruit :-)
And no doubt, when you start to take time to take care of yourself, little by little everything is getting in its place and life is seen in another way - one more beautiful, of course.
