RE: Flag-war stats for posts made on 2018-09-20
I moved my witness votes away from the top 20 witnesses at time of HF20 because I hold them responsible for the cockup that is HF20. Now slowly moving my witness votes around to those that show they either admit HF20 role-out went very very wrong and steps need to be taken to keep a disaster like this from happening once more, or who run what I feel is the core of the platform's value, real curation initiatives. But my first move was simply moving my witness vote away from the top 20 to the 21..45 crowd to give off a tiny signal to the to the top 20 crowd. Unfortunately, no major shifts happened in the top 20 list, as major voters either don't seem to realize how much their votes matter in these things, or they are simply aligned with Steemit INC so it is in their interest to keep the lack of HF scrutiny to a minimum. Anyhow, I'll be moving my witness votes around a bit depending primarily on what witnesses will communicate about how they would want to go about avoiding HF21 going as bad as HF20 went. Flag wars, etc can be mean and cutthroat, but if HF21 goes as bad as I fear it might, there will be no more flag wars to worry about as we will have a mass exodus on our hands and the whole blockchain will be worth less than even a single witness node server setup.
Ceterum censeo HF20 esse delendam
"Flag wars"? I thought it was abuse.
It comes from a preminer, not from someone whom bought and earned his vests like you did.
What I found interesting is that most of the insiders including some whom rarely post and one whom refuses rewards on his famous threads series took full advantage of their inside information that the transition will be a flop and voted their quota down to below 20% before the fork, because they knew that it will disable the blockchain for days.
Even I was surprised of how bad the transition was.
Aside from busy.witness I found no witness to be even close to deserving.
busy at least provide a needed service and reward their users on top of it.
And regarding your avoidance from steemconnect, I thought delegations necessitate it.
If you wish to delegate, a tiny python script should do the trick
If you replace the YOURKEYSGOHERE part with your actual posting and active key, running this script would delegate about 1SP to me. Look here for the current SP to vest calculation.
It is always a good idea to get Beem running on your system, and to play around a bit from the Python console. Python is a scripting language, but with the python shell you can almost use it like an interactive console with Beem. Good to do things like delegation.
Appreciate this piece of code.
How do I run it?
And why do you prefer delegation over vesting?
What did vesting have to do with steemconnect?
Vesting is possible without steemconnect, including directly to different accounts with no need to even explicitly transfer.
I rarely upvote you because I save my limited votes for downvotes and for upvotes that by yielding me curation rewards help me earn a little more STEEM and SBDs.
To buy STEEM is to reward abuse.
So simple.
