Hey guys,

I’ve got a really interesting and important new project to review today, named Heroic, which is looking to revolutionise the way in which cybersecurity is handled.

Quick disclaimer: this project, like all I review, is new to the scene and is still under development so please always do your own research. Also remember this is my opinion and not financial advice; my content is for educational and entertainment purposes only.

INTRODUCTION

In our digital world which relies so heavily on technology and rapid technological advancement to keep the pace of change for profit and competitive edge, it is easy to overlook cyber security as just a nuisance. However, as technology continues to become increasingly intertwined with more aspects of the human experience, the ability to protect against cyber criminals is more crucial than ever. Heroic are envisioning a world in which technology users are free- and safe- to operate in the digital world, and are even rewarded for contributing to the security of the digital ecosystem.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Cyber threats are no doubt already increasing in amount and severity at an alarming rate. There are of course some usual cybersecurity solutions, but they only react to these cyber threats once occurred and are little if no use in terms of meaningful prevention of attacks; with time these solutions have become solely reactive and increasingly outdated. There have been recent advancements in terms of the creation of artificial intelligence (AI) boosted cyber threat protection- which to be sure is a significant step in the right direction, though limited on its own- but these advancements are mostly accessible to large corporations, and data regarding such advancements and cyber threats is hoarded and protected for the competitive advantage of security companies. Heroic wants to disrupt this outdated and problem-ridden model of cybersecurity operation for the betterment of all.

Heroic employs a brand new approach to the management of AI-powered cyber threat protection, by also utilising the complimenting cutting edge technology of blockchain itself, and also using big data to its full effect. Through this impressive use of big data, blockchain technology, and artificial intelligence, the project promises to enhance and play a key role in the next generation of cybersecurity- with a grand vision to make effective artificial intelligence-powered cyber protection available for all. Users are not only able to be protected from threats intelligently, but they also have the opportunity to receive compensation in the form of HRO tokens for enabling anonymized threat data to be fed back into the system, helping to bring about ultimate security within the platform.

Once the threat data is identified and shared, members within the system- especially developers and organizations- can have access to this information to create an advanced and forever-improving artificial intelligence layer to be a central part of the Heroic platform. The threat information can be analysed to provide cybersecurity solutions to reduce the number of similar threats within the cyberspace and to combat their increasing complexity.

SPECIAL FEATURES

The system is expected to house three core components which are especially notable to understand how the ecosystem works, namely;

• The Heroic Arc Reactor, which is Heroic’s AI-powered cyber threat intelligence platform.

• The Heroic Guardian, which acts as the platform’s cloud-based overall management system.

• Heroic’s Research and Development Environment, created for the development and testing of the project’s algorithm on a secure and isolated yet highly functional platform.

TEAM & TOKEN DETAILS

Heroic boasts a team which is made up of many individuals who show talent and expertise in their diverse fields. Pioneered by Chad Bennett, the Project’s CEO and Chief Architect; Heroic’s other team members include: Dave McDonald, COO Engineering; Jake Kendall, in charge of Clients’ Success; Wyatt Semanek, Marketing, and PR; alongside a host of other team members and advisors devoted to making the project a success!

The Project’s ecosystem is powered by the use of the Heroic platform’s built-in token, HRO. The token is utilized by developers, organizations, and users within the network to participate in activities, as well being used to promote the growth of the Heroic.com network.

The project’s ICO started on the 1st of August, 2018 and is expected to last through to the end of the month. A soft cap of $2,500,000 is put in place for the sale, with a hard cap of $41,000,000 and a token price of $0.1125 per HRO token. A total of 1,000,000,000 HRO tokens have been created, and they are to be distributed as follows; 50% and 25% to Token Sale participants and Ecosystem Incentives respectively; while the Heroic Growth Fund is allocated the remaining 25%.

CONCLUSION

The Heroic project is going above and beyond in their quest to secure the future of cybersecurity; a whole next-generation ecosystem is being built using the powerful and cutting edge technologies of blockchain and artificial intelligence, alongside big data to build a maximally effective solution.

Considering how essential cybersecurity is, and the fact that this is becoming ever more pressing and important, this is certainly one space which would benefit all by being enhanced as much as possible. Their decentralised, outside the box approach to cybersecurity makes Heroic a particularly interesting and potentially beneficial project, and I will be following them on their journey for sure!
