The Joy of Being Present (4); Eliminate WAITING.steemCreated with Sketch.

One of the lessons I have learnt recently that benefited and keep benefiting me greatly is about waiting.

Waiting feels heavy, annoying and confusing. Waiting actually means I wait for something to happen or to come, only then I would feel complete, enough and everything would be ok. Waiting is kind of resisting this very moment. You are sending a subtle message to your body that there is something missed and we are in anticipation for it to happen.

The body converts the message of anticipation into tension. It stresses itself up. Waiting affects the body’s energy and interrupts the smoothness of bodily functions. You can’t think clearly when there is a feeling of incompleteness in your body. You tend to be irritated and over-reacting.

You might be waiting for something that would happen soon, the traffic jam to be cleared, for someone to return our call or for the waiter to bring you drink. You might be waiting for something that might take more time like a new position, a relationship or a pay raise. Think of how much time you spent waiting and how it might have affected your body.

Whenever you catch yourself waiting move your attention to your body and watch how it feels. You will find that you can’t feel relaxed when you are in state of waiting. It is like some activity in suspension.

Every moment you find yourself waiting remember that you are enough just the way you are. Whatever you perceive as missed from your life doesn’t affect your wholeness. Each moment is all what is, and has many things happening. You are just too busy waiting to notice them.
Accept the shape this moment takes. Unless you can change it there is no benefit of resistance. You either change or accept.

Thanks for reading.

Excellent post, and very beneficial to me, I do hate waiting but you have made some really good points here and I think it is all a matter of perspective and attitude of how we deal with things.board-2470559_1280[1].jpg

You're most welcome, it is fantastic to see people delivering good quality, unique content here on Steemit, rather than posting utter crap. It is people like yourself that will make Steemit work and let's hope we are a majority, rather than those that are here to just screw everyone over to make a few cents ;)

Thank you for your uplifting words. I still trying to figure out what good quality means here. It may be different for every geoup of people but what you said is obvious. There is a lot of blah blah blah that keep getting support.

Congratulations @alignment! You have completed some achievement on Steemit and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :

i'd like to pick your brain on this

There are things that make one wait. Look at Julian Assange. He needs to wait for someone to do the right thing .. It is out of his hands to not wait for that.

What does one do to get forward in such a situation.
Now Assange has something to stand for, and he may feel good about that. Yet there are many people put in idle mode by bureaucratic BULLSHIT. People who don't have a noble cause to stand for.
YET THEY MUST WAIT. And probably NEVER get out. So if Julian gets out he is lucky, and he should get out since he is one of the few who took a stand and did the right thing.

Still all those other people are stuck in the BULLSHIT of the ruling class.

waiting for something that may NEVER happen.

Does this article also cover that? Or can it?

I try to see, but I don't.

Blinded by bureaucratic bullshit myself... :-s
