Arum Araceae : Low-growing decorating plant

This plant can be medium or low in height, reaching 30-60 cm. It has many large leaves at its base, ranging from 10 to 55 cm long. The leaves are lance-shaped and arranged in a spiral pattern. They grow on stalks. The flowers form a cylindrical spike. Individual flowers have 2-4 stamens and can be white, brown, yellow, or purple. The fruits are shiny, bright orange-red berries.

Arum's unique flowers make it stand out in gardens. It's a good choice for shady spots where other plants struggle. The bright berries add color among ground covers like ivy, hostas, or ferns. Arum also looks great with hydrangeas and small evergreen trees.
