Fault not mine,but the serpent's
True! I wasn't garnished, but fair.
Never! I didn't beg for it
I was only given, so I chewed
I had no savvy of whither it came
The serpent, my eye witness
Why the curse, mighty one?
For ions I stayed, insisted and starved
Salivating seriously at the sight of the ropes ones
Yet, my throat I tried to at stake of slush
Never touched, never plucked and never ate
The serpent, my eye withness.
I say, why this curse, oh okaaka?
Why must I pine in pain at birth?
Why must my hubby sell his sweat for soup?
Did we not inhabit the orchard for ions?
Yet we never looked aloft
The serpent, my eye witness
The pain strain and scotches
This curse has lingered indelibly
My lads and lass affected too
But, I shouldn't have been cursed
Because, the fault not mine, but the snake's
The serpent, my eye without.
