Hemp Growers Accuse The Government Of Spreading Drug Paranoia
New Zealand has recently passed changes regarding the sale and consumption of hemp seed products in the country and this is expected to greatly fuel further success for the industry. Farmers who are interested in growing hemp are able to purchase licenses from the government, pay fees, and ultimately receive some government-approved hemp seeds to start growing.
Hemp is a lucrative business that farmers not only in NZ, but in the U.S., Canada, and elsewhere, are hoping to embrace, suggesting that it's a multi-billion dollar industry that has plenty of potential if allowed to be fully explored.
Industrial hemp has many uses, thousands of them, and has been used for many years to either make clothing, food, rope, construction material, livestock bedding, animal feed, and more.
From Farm To Table...
Hemp growers in NZ have recently accused the government of spreading drug paranoia after they were told that it's illegal to feed any of the cannabis plant to their livestock.
It might be legal to grow or sell hemp seed in New Zealand for human consumption but the government wants to remind growers that they shouldn't be giving any of the leftovers to their livestock.
Hemp can be used as feed for livestock and has been used as such, in different regions worldwide including Australia, Canada, and other regions.
The hemp that is being produced has very low levels of THC, hemp growers have urged that there isn't really anything to be concerned about and that if anything these sort of restrictions are hindering the industry rather than helping.
Researchers in Colorado are actively investigating the viability and the safety of using hemp as feed for livestock.
Researchers in Colorado might soon have a better idea on that after they conduct their own investigations on a practice that is reportedly currently forbidden.

The propaganda in this country on industrial hemp use is ridiculous
hot topic around town is the benefits of olive leaf and hemp oil.
its catching on and in a little while it will be all watered down and commercial. They both help with beauty and inflammation. Nice post.
