The joys of helping

True indeed in today's situation. There are really poor and needy everywhere. You may not notice it but if you would look closely you'd be surprised if you would find out how many people are in need of extreme help. It could be that some of those of people are close to you. It could also be that some of those people are those that you haven't met yet along the sidewalk.

It was not so long ago when I met a stranger on the sidewalk. I was on my way to school when I fumble into this young lady. He was just sitting on the sidewalk and was staring at the horizon. He saw me and looked at me with a very sad look. I right then and there knew that he was in need of great help.

That moment right there when I stared back at him,I felt his pain.I felt his loneliness and sufferings.I know then that i need to do something,that i have to help him.I felt that i have to do my job as a human.I felt deep within me that i am obliged to help him.

So what I did, was I took him with me on a food stall.I bought him foods and even gave him some extra cash. As i watched him eat, i could really say that he is very hungry. I looked at him while he was eating not knowing that a smile has formed in my lips.

On that day, i felt so accomplished as an individual. I felt so happy. I felt that i have fulfilled one of my many obligations to my fellow countrymen. That is to help those who are in need.

I hope that this will serve as a message not only to my fellow Filipinos but, to the world as well. There are people out there that needs us. They need not our pity but our compassion and love. Let us not hesitate in helping our fellow. Let's give as long as there's still something we can give. Let us help without asking for something in return.Let's.not ignore them.Let us not left them behind instead we should help them and carry them if possible and prosper together.

That's why I am very eager to go abroad to help those in needs especially my family.
