   One of the most important things in riding a motorcycle that is must wear Helmet is our head protector when we drive a motorcycle. Helmet is very important for riders because based on existing data indicates that 8 out of 10 motor vehicle accidents are motorcycles. That means 80 percent of accidents happen to motorcycle users. Actually there are many benefits of helmets that can be obtained by the community but most people are reluctant to wear them for reasons less important and disturbing appearance. Here are some benefits of using a helmet:

"Protect your head"

Imagine what happens to your head if you fall from a motorcycle? the head is a vital organ of man, if the head to be disturbed or problematic can be human will die. That's why driving should wear a helmet to protect the head.

"Protect the eyes"

Riding a motorcycle if without a helmet your eyes will be exposed to glare and also dust, this is very dangerous for the riders because it can cause accidents. Using a helmet can keep you away from glare and dust as well, in addition to rainy weather you also can still see the street clearly than when you are not using a helmet.
In Law Number 22 of 2009 Article 291 states that
Article 291
(1) Every person driving Motorcycles not wearing Indonesian National Standard helmet as referred to in Article 106 paragraph (8) shall be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of 1 (one) month or a maximum fine of Rp250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand rupiah).
(2) Any person who drives a Motorcycle that allows passengers not to wear helmets as referred to in Article 106 paragraph (8) shall be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of 1 (one) month or a maximum fine of Rp250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand rupiah).
