Great post! To me, I'd say if you are the kind of person who wants to travel to other places, for whatever reason, then go for it. It's a great chance for you to find out if that's what you really want to do or not. However, if none of this interest you, then don't do it. I'd say try it at least once to see how you like it. Honestly though, you don't ever have to try it and that doesn't mean that your life will be worse if you don't. In fact, this could ruin your life. It's not the easiest thing to tell if someone will do better or worse if the study abroad. I do think there are signs that people show that determine whether or not they should study abroad.
Good point @artbyclark. Myself made an important decision to study in UK 10 years ago. It's hard to imagine what I will be if I didn't come to UK. When you are young, you gonna do some crazy things, such as throwing yourself into a totally different environment :)
