They both answered at the same time and as usual I either split the prize or award two first place prizes.

Word for word translations are not easy to read. But I laid out the words in the same order they would be read in Hebrew to prove a point.

Are today's Bibles translations or interpretations?

As any bilingual person will tell you, there are some rearrangements needed to make one language understandable in another. As I teach you the Hebrew language, you will need to rearrange things in your mind in order to understand, for example, who did what for whom.

The challenge

Take theses words and tell me what book chapter and verse they are from.

then-he-shall-declare-clean-him and-he-shall-send the bird the alive at face of the field and-he-shall-wash the-one-presenting-himself-for-cleansing garments-of-him and-he-shall-shave-off all of hair of him and he shall bathe in the water and he shall be clean and after he shall come into the camp but he shall live from outside to tent of him seven of days and he will be on the day the seventh he shall shave off all of hair of him head of him and beard of him and brows of eyes of him and all of hair of him he shall shave off and he shall wash garments of him and bathe body of him in the water and he shall be clean

I had a few comments and then the two winners came in at the same time. One even named the book in Hebrew.
Vayikra which is the first word of the book "And he called" Or in English Leviticus.

But I pulled a fast one for bonus points.

I left a few words off the front of one verse. As you can see below, I started in the middle of verse seven.

After proclaiming the winners, I asked if either could ID the words left out. @jhelbich was able to name them. So 5 more SBD to him for that.
