The ancient language of ivrit ( עברית ) - Tsade

in #hebrew7 years ago (edited)

Like the Alphabet, The letters in Hebrew are called the Alef - Beyt and they are presented on my blog from bottom to the top so you can learn them order, then to read them right to left. You will see what the original "Bible" said and what the names meant as they went through the stories of old.

This letter is known by two names, Tsade comes from the verb to hunt, and symbolizes a "fish hook" and the other name for this letter is Tsadik which means "righteous"

It is the eighteenth letter. It is a consonant . Tsade is also the number 90, The sofit form is 900

They both are pronounce "ts" as in the word "lets" but the hard part is when it starts a word.

Yeshua has many titles, one of which is The Righteous One pronounced "Ha Tsadik"

I am uploading this line from Gen 2:9 to dsound.audio - reading each word right to left.
(two times each word first fast then slowly)

Where we are so far

Only 4 more letters and you will be reading! Well, there are many you can read already.

Let's also start studying our vowels. There are five sounds for them.

Here is a chart.

  • the square represents any letter.
  • the vowels are positioned as they would be in a written word.
  • there are five lines of vowels - five sounds

On the left a word that contains the vowel sound

On the right a representation of that sound.

They are nearly the same as in Spanish and in the same order!

I have to say that there are slight differences - one might be a little longer than the one next to it, but the sound is the same. There are also combinations that may extend the sound of a vowel. I will leave this chart on the next seven lessons as we go through more letters.

We will soon be reading so get your Hebrew Bible soon! Click here to obtain the book we will using in a few short weeks. It is a free download - or browser usable

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hebrew Words with the letter Tsade.... STRUGGLE(Verb): The act of trying to achieve the goal, but with hindrances. Hebrew: נצה .... nTsH. And it is said that the Word Israel means "One who struggled with God". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_wrestling_with_the_angel

In the Torah portion, Vayishlah,

Jacob wrestles all night with a mysterious angel representing God.Because Jacob successfully survives this encounter, his name is changed to Israel. The translation of Israel is “to struggle with God”. The Torah is saying that to struggle with God is common. Most people require inquiry and study, as adults, to come to terms with their personal encounter. We are encouraged intellectually to encounter God within ourselves after studying the word of God and wrestling our sages encountered in their journeys to God. It is possible to be good and have questions about God.

In the Order of Melchi-Zedek ... King of Righteousness.... Melchi=King and Zedek = Righteousness

Who is the Mysterious Melhizadek ?

Hebrews 7: Melchizedek the Priest

"This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “King of Righteousness”; then also, “King of Salem” means “King of Peace.” Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever."

Gen 14:18 And Malchizedek the king of Salem brought out bread and wine, and he was a priest to the Most High God. יחוּמַלְכִּי־צֶ֨דֶק֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ שָׁלֵ֔ם הוֹצִ֖יא לֶ֣חֶם וָיָ֑יִן וְה֥וּא כֹהֵ֖ן לְאֵ֣ל עֶלְיֽוֹן:

Tzadik/Zadik/Sadiq [tsaˈdik] (Hebrew: צדיק‎, "Righteous one", pl. tzadikim [tsadiˈkim] צדיקים ṣadiqim) is a title given to people considered Righteous, such as Biblical figures and later Spiritual Masters. The root of the word ṣadiq, is ṣ-d-q (צדק tzedek), which means "Justice" or "Righteousness".

Tzadik is also the root of the word tzedakah ('charity', literally 'righteousness'). The term tzadik "Righteous", and its associated meanings, developed in Rabbinic thought from its Talmudic contrast with hasid ("Pious" Honorific), to its exploration in Ethical literature, and its esoteric spiritualisation in the Mystical Tradition.

Since the late 17th century, in Hasidic Judaism, the institution of the Mystical Tzadik as a divine channel assumed central importance, combining popularization of (hands-on) Jewish mysticism with social movement for the first time. Adapting former Kabbalistic theosophical terminology, Hasidic thought internalised mystical experience, emphasising deveikut attachment to its Rebbe leadership, who embody and channel the Divine flow of blessing to the world .... This Melchi-Zadoc is a sign of the Righteous King of the Universe. The Great Mystery. The Divine Son of Man. God incarnate.Holy Holy Holy is His Name.

Another great Lesson. Tzade. I will practice writing this one. It is a beautiful Letter. UpVoted and Resteemed.
