Combating Overdose Usage at Homes
Amid an opioid crisis that is claiming tens of thousands of lives each year, Americans are urged to start carrying a drug that reverses overdoses.
This will be the first time in 13 years that a public health advisory is been issued be the nation's Top Surgeon
Surgeon General Dr. Adams Jerome said more Americans should start carrying the overdose antidote naloxone to help combat the crisis and save lives.
He mentioned that you don't have to be a firefighter or policeman before you can save a life. Also he pointed out that more than half of opioid overdose deaths in the U.S. occur at home.
