Sunday Hearthstone Meta Discussion!
Hi Wanderers. Welcome to my domain! Grab yourself an ale and gather around the hearth.
I am going to make this a weekly post quickly looking over the current state of the meta as we prepare for the next week.
Going into Week 2 of the June Season, this is what the current state of the meta looks like across the board:
The biggest change it seems came with the rise of Cube Warlock as this has been taking the legend ranks by storm. A lot of the current top tier decks are ill equipped to deal with Cube Warlock ( such as Token Druid and Quest Warrior), and the tech that was everywhere before the nerf has now started to fall off as the new meta widened.
Here are the top Decklists for the Tier 1 Decks:
Even Warlock:
The Warlock class seems to be one of best positioned at the moment with two deck archetypes in the Tier 1 List. Even Warlock is still the most successful list overall, but it seems that Cube Warlock is snapping at its heels.
Deck Code:
AAECAf0GBIoHws4Cl9MCzfQCDYoB8gX7BrYH4Qf7B40I58sC8dAC/dACiNIC2OUC6uYCAA==
Taunt Warrior
Despite still being an excellent deck, Taunt Warrior is having a harder time, especially against some of the warlock variants. The meta going forward will determine whether it will retain its position as a top deck or fall more out of favor.
Deck Code:
AAECAQcEogSQB9PDAp/TAg1LkQb/B7II+wybwgK+wwLKwwKbywLMzQLP5wKq7AKb8wIA
Cube Warlock
As mentioned above, Cubelock is becoming a force to be reckoned with on the higher end legend levels, and its success is bound to trickle down the ladder as this continues.
Deck Code:
AAECAf0GBMnCApfTAtvpApz4Ag2KAZME9wS2B+EHm8IC58sC8tAC+NACiNICi+EC/OUC6OcCAA==
Token Druid
Token Druid is still one of the best decks on the ladder, but as the meta shifts its position is also being challenged more.
Deck Code:
AAECAZICBMLOAq/TAvHqAr/yAg1AX+kB5AjJxwKU0gKY0gKe0gLm0wKL4QKE5gLd6wKN8AIA
Kathrena Hunter
The Hunter list has become more refined, and as a result, its seen a lot more success on the ladder. It has good match ups both against aggressive decks, and can race slower decks which positions it well.
Deck Code:
AAECAR8KjQHyBfgIws4ChtMC0dMC5+ECnOICtuoCgPMCCsbCAuvCAsrDApvLApzNAtPNAt3SAuHjAu3qAvLxAgA=
Big-Spell Mage
Big Spell Mage was very good post patch, but now more and more of the better decks tend to prey on it and as a result it is slowly trickling down the meta ladder.
Deck Code:
AAECAf0ECNACxQTTxQKgzgKb0wLy0wKj6wKm8AILTYoByQPsB5vCApbHAtXhAtfhApbkAr7sArfxAgA=
I hope this is of some help to everyone trying to ascend the ladder this month. I will post a similar breakdown next week at the same time. Please keep an eye out, and if you enjoy the content, please consider a follow and an upvote!
Tell me in the comments what decks you are finding success with and what you are doing to adapt to the ever changing meta!
Until next time Carcosians!
