The Weekly Steemit Health Challenge: Peanut and carrot cookies
Hello friends @sweetsssj and @healthsquared. Thank you for your initiative to make a delicious healthy dessert.
I love homemade cookies! And I bet there's nothing better than the aroma of freshly baked cookies in the morning. Let's not talk about tastings with a rich cup of tea, of course.
Today I have decided to propose an ideal recipe for people with diabetes since it sweetens them with fructose, it is very tasty and really tempting. What I'm talking about? From the rich homemade peanut and carrot cookies, perfect for sharing at the snack with friends, or just ideal to complement a comforting cup of tea.
You can not miss them!
Ingredients:
500 g of whole wheat flour
100g of mani
Average fructose rate
2 striped carrots
2 eggs
5 spoons oat flakes
One teaspoon of baking soda
A glass of milk
Lemon zest.
Preparation:
To start with these delicious cookies, the first thing you have to do is place in a bowl, the wheat flour, the oatmeal, the fructose, the two eggs, the baking soda and the lemon zest. Try to unify all the ingredients to perfection until you get a compact mixture.
Milk and carrot are liquefied, then added to the mixture and beat for a few minutes until you have a creamy texture.
While preheating the oven, grease the molds of the cookies and with a small spoon add the mixture in the molds and decorate with peanuts.
Take the cookies to the oven for about 30 minutes and that's it. You will have some delicious homemade peanut and carrot cookies!
Benefits of the ingredients:
peanut
its consumption helps your liver balance its functioning and your pancreas to process sugar more easily.
due to its oils, the peanut eliminates bad cholesterol and generates more good, which helps prevent cerebrovascular diseases.
Carrot
• Contains phytosterols, natural substances that block the absorption of cholesterol and help purify the blood.
• It favors the formation of red blood cells due to its iron and copper content, thus preventing anemia, arteriosclerosis and decreased defenses.
• The carrot is a great ally of sight, it helps you to prevent cataracts and macular degeneration as well as to maintain visual acuity.
Fructose
Fructose does not increase the blood glucose.
Traditionally, fructose has been used as a sweetener for diabetics.
Fructose sweetens more than white sugar or refines and provides only 4 kilocalories per gram.
It is known that fructose is metabolized and stored in part by the liver in the form of glycogen, as a reserve for when we need to make an effort.
Egg
The quality of the egg protein is the highest of any integral food. Vitamins such as A, B2, B12, D and E can be found in the egg and will provide much of the recommended daily amounts.
Whole wheat flour:
By conserving the wheat bran and germ, the integral flour is characterized by an amount of fiber 3 times higher than the white flour. It also has a high content of vitamins and minerals, such as B vitamins, vitamin E, iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc, among others.
I hope you enjoy it and that you make this recipe.
Greetings.
