Being overweight may increase the risk of many health problems, including diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. If you are pregnant, excess weight may lead to short- and long-term health problems for you and your child.

6 simple and effective ways to loose excess body fat.
1. Drink water
Drinking water boosts your metabolism due to a process known as water-induced thermogenesis. When you drink a glass of cold, or even room-temperature water, your system has to burn calories to heat it up to your body temperature (37 C). Drinking a glass of water before every meal can be doubly beneficial because it fills you up so you’re not tempted to overeat.
2. Eat more protein.
Protein takes longer to digest than fats or carbohydrates and process of digesting protein burns more calories.
3. Do cardio
Cardiovascular activities is often considered the key to fat loss, because after all running, cycling, swimming, burn calories. For effective weight loss see to it that you do at least 250 minutes of cardio per week.
4. Get more calcium
Get enough calcium. Adults typically need around 1,000 milligrams of calcium every day to help maintain muscle and nerve function, and it's necessary for healthy bones and teeth. [22] But calcium may also help prevent the body from storing visceral fat in the abdomen. Though studies have not shown a drastic change in weight due to increased calcium intake, researchers suggest that it may have a small effect in some people. Calcium requires vitamin D to be absorbed into the body; therefore, be sure to get enough vitamin D as well.
5. Avoid processed foods
There are a lot of extra calories in processed foods that are just wasteful. Every time you break for a snack or sit down to a meal, it’s an opportunity to fuel and nourish your body. Processed foods are often lacking in fiber and nutrients that help fill you up, which can lead to overeating later. Opt for whole foods as often as possible to fuel yourself more efficiently.

6. Drink green tea
Green tea is an especially rich source of antioxidants called catechins. It also contains caffeine. Both of these substances can increase metabolism, but when consumed together they have a synergistic effect. They help to boost levels of the hormone norepinephrine which signals fat cells to release stored fat into the bloodstream for use as energy.
Most importantly commitment and persistence is very important in the process of loosing weight. Once you begin doing this thing that aids weight loss, do well to stick to the procedure, and you'll definitely loose weight.
