Your eyes are like a window to the world why not celebrate it via world sight day
So apparently i happened to play participate with nigeria optometric association imo state chapter in the just concluded world sight day on Thursday 10th of October 2019, it was indeed a wonderful experience that cant be described by words.
The main aim of world sight day include;
-raise public awareness in visual impairments
-influence the government to participate in blindness prevention
-to educate about blindness prevention
-to generate surport for vision 2020. program and activities
Statistics has ravealed that approximately 90% of blind people are living in low income countries
About 65%of visually impaired people are morethan 50yrs of age
With consistent public awarenesses and advocacy government ,private health institution and NGOs can drive a change for visual impairment.
