Wow! I thought there there were already many countries in which cannabis is used in medicine. Of course, there's always been a big discussion about the use and I know that many patients don't even want to use it, but still I feel like it's good to have the option, obviously only as long as it doesn't harm anyone. I think this topic is very interesting and I'm very excited to read more about it! :)

I live in India, it used to be legal in 70s. But due to pressure from other countries, our prime minister of that time banned it in India. but people use hemp plants to make drinks that is taken as Prasad (a devotional offering made to a god, typically consisting of food that is later shared among devotees.) on the occasion of Holi. (Colour Festival)

Yes, it is used in medicines without people knowing. But, it should be legalised again as it is not more dangerous than alcohol.
