Although coffee is one of the most consumed drinks in the world, it has a bad reputation. The scientific journal "New England" dealt with this issue by analyzing 96 scientific studies that had previously made coffee a subject of study, and concluded with scientific results reported by the French newspaper "Le Baguizian".

The study confirmed that "caffeine addicts can consume between 3 and 5 cups of coffee per day, as this may contribute to reducing the risk of chronic diseases," according to what was reported by the French "Yahoo News" on the study.

The researchers denied, according to the same source, rumors that coffee can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, confirming that scientific evidence has recently emerged about its health benefits. This is because coffee contains hundreds of chemically active substances such as polyphenols in caffeine.

On the other hand, the French "Healthy Life" magazine addressed the health effects of coffee, focusing on the risks resulting from excessive coffee consumption, describing it as "the most psychoactive substance consumed in the world."

The magazine stated that coffee contains natural antioxidants, and that it has many benefits if consumed in reasonable quantities. But it is counterproductive when consumed in large quantities. Among them, it becomes a source of severe headaches. The caffeine in coffee has therapeutic effects in episodic migraines, but larger and more frequent headaches occur when the daily user stops consuming it suddenly.

Among the disadvantages of drinking coffee is that it works to absorb minerals beneficial to human health, as the magazine states that it contains iron in the stomach and weakens the work of the kidneys by preventing it from retaining calcium, magnesium and zinc.

The French "Vi Health" magazine mentioned that among the problems that result from not filtering coffee before drinking it, it maintains high levels of cafestol and alcohol. Two compounds called diterpene alcohol increase the level of cholesterol in the blood. The magazine added that excessive consumption of coffee damages the digestive system and may cause ulcers and other irritations in the intestine or stomach.

The journal pointed to studies that proved the link between coffee consumption and miscarriage, confirming that consuming more than 200 milligrams of coffee per day during pregnancy would double the risk of premature death for the fetus. The Health Journal also mentioned that another significant risk is related to a chemical substance in coffee called acrylamide, which is potentially carcinogenic.

In its article, the magazine cautioned that the combination of tobacco and caffeine is a cause of increased blood pressure and nerve pressure, which is usually dangerous for the heart.
