Walking and cycling walkers reduce the risk of heart disease
One study found that cyclists and pedestrians have less risk of cardiovascular disease than those who run by car. Physical activities such as walking and cycling reduce the risk of heart disease. But it is seen that despite its advantages, in many countries, such activities are reduced. However, it is seen that most people are working in such a project, where physical activity is very low.
This study included UK's University of Cambridge, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Imperial College, London. This study was published in the Heart Magazine. It collected data of 3,58,799 people between 2006 and 2010. They were asked which instrument they chose for the traffic. It was seen whether they are dependent on the car or for some other option. It was found that one-third of the people traveled by car at their workplace while the number of people traveling in the bicycle was comparatively less. Only 8.5 percent of the people said they used bicycles. An analysis of data shows that the risk of cardiovascular disease is 11 per cent lesser for regular cyclists and pedestrians.
