Quench your thirst with a Red Booster!

If this summer heat is draining you and your dying to quench your thirst, this recipe is for you.  It’s a blend I go to regularly in the summer because the ingredients are easy to find and because of its energy boosting and detoxing properties. 

This recipe's main ingredients, strawberries and watermelon have a ton of lycopenes which is the stuff that prevents many disease by providing the body with lots of antioxidants and neutralizing free radicals.  

Free radicals are the nasty molecules that cause damage to our body and accelerate aging, which is not at the top of many people's list.  This booster juice will give you clean healthy energy as it contains Vitamin B1, B6, B12 Vitamin A, Thiamin, Niacin, iron, calcium, potassium and zinc to many a few

Since we all want to stay young, healthy and have a high quality of life go ahead and make yourself a Red Booster!

Red Booster                                                                                                                             
1 ½ cups of watermelon
½ ripe organic strawberries
½ Lime juice – from fruit
3-4 leafs of fresh basil
½ cup of cold purified water 

Take a slice (about a cup and a half) of watermelon, including the seeds. Wash about ½ cup of strawberries after removing the green leafy crown. Wash the basil and add all ingredients into blender. Blend and enjoy. Don’t let the color fool you, let you taste buds experience this sweet booster.

Tip:  Try to use local, organic fruits, with seeds.  Seeds are a sign of organism health and almost always guarantees that its a non-genetically modified fruit.  Seeds, particularly watermelon seeds also have tons of minerals that are hugely beneficial to the body.
