A rx study was performed on an 86-year-old female patient who suffered a rat bite and months later discovered that the infection had spread to the bones of her left leg affecting specifically the tibia and fibula and was diagnosed with osteomyelitis. The study was remitted weeks later to discover the presence of larvae that fed on the spongy tissue of the bones in order to see, after the extraction of some larvae, if there was still presence of these.
