RE: Health Data to Empower the Individual

in #health7 years ago

There are hundreds of thousands of people who get dna tested through ancestry or another firm, but they do not attach their results to any tree nor do they share their info. They are listed with a pseudonym. The dna matches still exist. But many prefer to remain anonymous due to privacy concerns -- or just paranoia. Unless everyone is included in the structure, I'm not sure how your program will

eliminate genomic and healthcare data siloes, which hinder research and innovation.

Otherwise, it's a very good idea. Please explain the data siloes here. Thank you.

Our platform eliminates this. Because there's no reason for a person to give their real identity when choosing to share data here or have it analyzed. They can create pseudonyms and use multiple pseudonyms for different purposes eg sharing data with researchers versus getting it analyzed by an app in the marketplace. So there's no way for different third parties to trace the information back to the same person, and they can remain anonymous.
