Zinc, Why Most People are Deficient and the Numerous Benefits of Supplementation
Zinc is one of the most important minerals for your body, yet most people in developed countries today are deficient, why? Simply as the modern diet today sucks, we all know this and are thinking of ways to make it better. I've got multiple articles in mind incoming on this subject. One of the biggest issues is our farming methods, we are stripping the soil and then using mass fertilizer to attempt at replacing the nutrients in the soil. What ends up happening is over time we get less and less nutrients in our food supply. At this point you cannot get enough nutrients from your diet, I don't care what dietary ideology you follow. If you get food from a mainstream source, you will not get enough nutrients. Therefore we end up with deficiencies in the most simple of nutrients and the benefits of having those nutrients are astronomical. Just eat good food people, however I also like to supplement as I still notice benefits. Here's the Benefits and Symptoms of Deficiency along with a list of foods with high Zinc content.
Zinc Food Sources: Oysters, Red Meat, Seafood, Turnips, Peas, Almonds, Pumpkin Seeds, Ginger Root, Pecan Nuts,
