“Fat loss is 90% diet”
No, it’s pretty much 100% diet. You can lose fat without any exercise (although exercise is good for you). You can’t lose weight without consistency on your diet.
There was even a professor who ate nothing but Twinkie’s and doughnuts and Oreos but lost weight/fat because he had a caloric deficit. (Although I recommend eating real, nutrient foods).
It really bugs me when someone who is new to weight loss asks for help losing weight and the first thing they see is a trainer trying to sell them some workout course, with diet being secondary or not even brought up.
If you want to lose weight, focus on your diet, and specifically calories. It helps to eat satiating foods so that you feel fuller throughout the day.
Things like cardio and weights can help you lose fat, especially by gaining muscle which burns more calories in your natural state, but at the end of the day it’s still calories.
There are many types of diets that can help you lose weight/fat. Doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or carnivore or omnivore, none of that really matters (outside of preference medium). You have to be in a caloric deficit.
