Choose Joy In Your Struggle
I had always been athletic and for the most part, healthy. So, it was a definite shocker learning I had cancer. I never once looked at myself and thought I had a death sentence, but it was an enormous pill to swallow. It took me a while to accept it, and to be truthful, I'm not sure I completely ever did. Whenever I had a conversation with someone, it was that I was diagnosed, not that I had "it." I think I had decided that it was there, it was being removed, and it's gone. I will choose to be happy, thank God for it not being worse, and believing He would be with me no matter what. Surgery was the easy part. After all, I was loaded up with drugs 😉
No matter what you are going through, choosing to have a peaceful, joyful, and thankful heart is where your healing starts. Not to mention, receiving gifts and feeling loved, helps.
God heal you soon
