A sex addicts is a person whose thoughts is dominated by sex. Such a person finds it difficult to control his/her sexual behaviours. This is as a result of the high rate of testosterone and estrogen in the body , neglection, depression, early trauma as well as early exposure to sexual activities.

Moreover, just like any drug addiction, sexual addiction affects an individual negatively in many ways . Financially, a sex addicts status decreases due to continuous spending of money on cybersex,online sexual fantasies , prostitution etc. Contacting Sexually transmitted diseases, low self-esteem, promiscuity, relationship problems ,harassing others sexually and getting unwanted pregnancies are other negative effect of sexual addiction. This is more reason parents should help their wards to solve emotional problems and their use of computers and phones should be in supervised.
