My quit smoking weekend -1 week smoke free
Update on life as a non-smoker! Yesterday evening I completed a whole week's worth of work Smokefree!!!! I had never thought it would be possible without screaming at people, crying during a meeting or running away! But none of this happened! Mentally it uitting has been very easy for me, once I got to to the place where genuinely I do not want to smoke any more. The week has been a bit more challenging for my body as it is cleaning itself, so I did have the cravings, I did have headaches, sleepiness, then insomnia, I have started coughing out the black stuff! I saw it all not as a pain but as a spring clean opportunity. So I thought OK my body is working hard I will give it a hand! I have drunk litres of herbal teas, walked everywhere for the whole week from early morning to the evening ca..9km per day, have been taking the stairs everywhere, swam 3 times this week. Day 5 was the easiest in terms of cravings... And as I was happy that I made it for a whole working week smokefree, I joined colleagues for a drink after work last night. I was nervous that a glass of wine out would make me want a ciggy and had second thoughts about going. But then thought NO ciggies cannot control my life even after I gave them up. Life as a nonsmoker will continue as is and probably the wine will taste and smell even better! So I did go and had a great smokefree evening!
Here is to a happy start of day 6 and a smokefree weekend to everyone!
