In today's hectic life stress is a very common term. It is primarily a physical response of the body in which it releases a complex hormones and chemicals such as cortisol and adrenaline, with the increased production of these hormones we feel stressed and frustrated and we tend to reach for junk or sugary food which is very high in calorie and finally we end up in triggering other complex conditions in our body.

So, Instead of reaching for candy, alcohol or other junk food we should stick with anti-stress foods and exercising. Here in this post I have included top 3 foods which miraculously reduces the stress level of the body. adding these foods to your diet will reduce the cortisol hormone production and increase in feel good or serotonin hormone as a result reduced stress and frustration.

Top 3 foods which reduce stress level.

1.Nuts (Cashews & Walnuts):- Though nuts are high in calorie but it reduces the cortisol production and hence the stress level . Walnuts have omega 3 fatty acids in it which boosts the brain function and lower the cholesterol level on the other hand cashews are high in zinc which reduces the cortisol level and helps reducing stress. Remember that the deficiency in zinc and magnesium is also responsible for high stress level in the body, next time you make sure to add these minerals in your diet. Take one serving of these nuts in a day.

2.Tea (Chamomile Tea):- Chamomile has a pleasant smell which calm down your nerves and its anti-stress property will make you feel fresh and rejuvenating you can take fresh chamomile leaves or ready made chamomile tea available in the market make sure its caffeine free, sip it and you will feel your stress are gone.

Great to see and read a post about reducing stress!

Stress is the root cause of many illnesses and diseases. It depletes our immune system and the adrenalin imbalance gets more out of balance and can cause adrenal fatigue. As some one who has suffered from both chronic and severe adrenal fatigue which went undiagnosed for most my life by doctors, I do feel that people need to be more aware of the damage that stress does.

I do feel that probably the only good thing about suffering is using the knowledge to help others so they don't have to go through the same!
