MY CAPTOR WHO KILLED MY BELOVED FOR 7 YEARS
Now, I am free and taking delight with my beloved's presence.
Lately, the breeze is colder thus Autumn is here.
Yesterday, I have been chilling despite closed doors and windows so i stayed close to the heater while doing my things. That evening, I noticed that my chills were getting stronger and stronger, and soon enough there was I - SHIVERING, TREMBLING, QUIVERING beside the heater covered with thick woolen blanket.
Then it hit me - I HAD AN ALLERGY ATTACK ! ! !
Antihistamine ingestion makes me drowsy, heavy and tired. But feeling anxious that this might go severe, i secured my pills - LORATADINE, beside me on standby.
I was on my 20's when i held captive of this ailment. At the onset, this problem came out more often. As often as 2 to 3 severe attacks each month. My eyes were swollen, my lips were swollen, had swollen face, swollen limbs practically its my whole body, specially when i eat my BELOVED FOOD, such as mangoes, chickens, shrimps, crabs, nuts, dairy products to name a few. With this condition I could no longer define the word "ugly" when i looked myself at the mirror with those hives.
I grew up in a Third World Country. I sought professional help but temporary relief and food restrictions were all that is. The last Ob/Gyn-Allergologist i visited said that i shall have this allergy problem for the rest of my life. Really? Is there anything new to that doc? - As i responded to her with a bit of sarcasm, probably due to my distress for visiting more than 15 Allergologists but to no avail.
With a nod and a slight raise of one of her eyebrows she said YES, there will be something new to your problem if you eat the food of which you are allergic to. At that point i was confused, thinking that maybe she was trying to kill me for being sarcastic? It was exactly the opposite of what other doctors' advice.
Then she continued while removing her eyeglasses, you need to eat those food at a minimal quantity though. Do not take medicines if the itches and hives are tolerable. Tolerance to allergens is what we are trying to achieve here but still you need to drink your medicine when it gets worse, don't wait for the worst. With a nod and grin, i said okay doc you are making sense now.
For more than 10 years now, i seldom have allergy attacks. As seldom as 2 to 3 severe attacks each year.
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING.
its good to know since i have the same problem too
That's true. You should try this allergen tolerance approach though and eventually get immune to it and beat allergy problems.
