I hope it is not too late to wish you all a happy new month😁, MAY it bring good things to us all.
Well, this is another write up on why pre marital tests is important and today we will be learning about Blood Group*.

I bet all of us here know our blood group but then I advice you do it again and confirm if you are using the one you did during your medical clearance in the university( most schools in Nigeria carry out the test for all new students by themselves), so there might be error or mistakes due to the large number.

So Blood group is important before marriage?

Yes it is, very very important as to save the life of the unborn kids.
Both parties are requested to check for their blood groups before marriage Especially the females, this is because if by any chance the female has a negative blood group, then she will need a special attention in order to have a safe delivery.

The above can either be negative or positive. While the positive individuals has no issues, the women who are negative , example (O-, B-, A-, AB-) who need to take a certain injection called “Rhogam” during or after pregnancy. This is to prevent still births and miscarriages.

Being a negative blood group Woman is not as deadly as some part of the world has made it to be, science has helped us evolved and the mistakes made by our forefathers can now easily be corrected and looked out for.
Usually the first babies of this negative blood group mothers tend to survive but subsequent pregnancies won’t if not given the injection because they lack the ***Rhesus factor ** (the positive factor) and we all know that the body reacts to anything which is foreign to it.

When is Negative Blood group women in danger?

They are only in danger when they get to married to Positive Blood group man, but in a situation whereby they marry a Negative Blood group Man, then there are safe because both of them lack the “Rhesus Factor”.

I hope we all have learnt something in this post and you can educate others around you for a better health and living, you can start by even asking your own sisters or relatives their blood group and sure they will thank you if you educate them on this.
A blood group test can be done in any certified laboratory by a laboratory scientist and the result can be ready in 5mins, so do well to check yours today😌.

There’s no need to be afraid in getting married to a negative Blood group woman, it’s a simple issue that can be resolved if both parties have knowledge of it.
