Everyone is looking to build their abs. Here are some things you need to look into to make your crunches work more effectively.
1 Diet!!! You have to look at what you are eating and how it effects your body. If you want abs to show you need to simulate them to grow and to burn the fat sitting on top of them. Good nutrition is the #1 key!
2 You are doing it wrong!? Doing just traditional crunches with your feet on the floor is only hitting the top 4 abs. It's not that it's wrong it's actually more the fact that they are incomplete! You still have 4 lower abs to hit!
** 3 Cardio you have to do cardio!!!**

Interval training
4 The bottom 4 abs need stimulated to develop!
To stimulate the bottom 4 abs and the upper 4 you need drive the pelvis off the floor and tuck! Bring the legs up and the knees to your chest! Now you have engaged all 4 lower abs aaaaaaand all 4 upper. We joke around the top 4 abs are for show! The bottom 4 are for doe!
5 You need to strengthen everything around it!!!
If you have been working on abs for a long time and have experinced a plateau you will need to strengthen everything around it starting with the low back!! You can try super mans as seen here!
Or maybe you need to work on your obliques with oblique crunches!
